# Process Velocity

> Across large data sets, the velocity at which founders move holds the highest predictive power on the probability of a successful raise.

A high-velocity pipeline is one in which new investors move through the different stages at a rapid pace. By bringing process excellence to identifying and accessing investors, founders can develop a high-velocity rhythm to maximize the odds of success

Process velocity refers to the pace at which investors move through a given pipeline. The biggest velocity killer is indecision — spending too much time on investors who have gone quiet, or aren't responsive, or simply aren't a fit. To avoid indecision, founders should have a clear framework for how to tackle investors in common situations.
